Volkswagen Jetta TSI – YouTube Campaign.

Just a few days ago, our professor in marketing, was teaching us the role of ‘co-creation’ that brands are striving hard to work  upon. Quoting from Wikipedia, Co-creation is a form of marketing strategy or business strategy that emphasizes the generation and ongoing realization of mutual firm-customer value. It views markets as forums for firms and active customers to share, combine and renew each other’s resources and capabilities to create value through new forms of interaction, service and learning mechanisms”.

Volkswagen has come out – yet again- with a clutter breaking online campaign for its Jetta TSI.  Called the ‘You Tube Test Drive’, the website jettatsi.com, linked to You Tube, allows the visitor to post any queries regarding the Jetta TSI and he or she gets a video response, the virtual test drive, for the question put through.

The campaign is smart and allows a visitor to ‘view’ and ‘experience’ frequently asked questions in a video format. The video is not dry and is given a ‘humor’ touch to it. YouTube used effectively.
