Old Bollywood songs is the new mantra for advertisers

Advertisers are increasingly using old Bollywood songs from the R D Burman era in their commercials. The latest commercial featuring an old classic song is the Nissan Micra ads. There are opinions that say that using old songs in remixed versions is ‘lazy advertisement’ and that such songs fail to deliver the actual message which the commercial is trying to send.

Whether the commercial is clutter breaking on not is up to the audience and the ad gurus, here’s a selected compilation of commercials running on this new trend.

So what do you have to say about this new ‘trend’??

Cheers!
