Genes in Jeans

An activity i used to repeat every other time has suddenly made news and for a good reason. 😀
Josh Le, a student of University of Alberta wore a tight pair of denim jeans for period of 15 months at a stretch beginning September 2009.

A test on the denim revealed that the most of the bacteria collected during the 15 month period had accumulated in the crotch area, 8500 to 10000 bacterial units per square centimeter. However the result concluded that the blue cloth was still safe to wear.

In short wearing the same pair of jeans everyday is not hazardous to health as my mom forced me to believe. Time to prove her wrong 😛
